Richard J. DeAgazio

Richard J. DeAgazio, Principal Mr. DeAgazio has over 44 years in the Financial Services industry and has been in the traditional securities arena as well as Alternative Investments and Special Products such as REITS, Private Placements and Private Equity in Real Estate and associated industries.  An early entrant in the investment program industry since 1981, Mr DeAgazio has seen it grow from infancy into the multi-billion dollar industry that it is today.  He has built distribution systems for the sales and marketing of REITS, LP's and LLC's. He has managed broker/dealer organizations and has consulted with firms who are looking to develop and build sales models. Mr. DeAgazio has been a leader in the self-regulatory environment as well, as an active participant with FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authoriity (formerly the NASD) culminating with elected terms as a member of the Board of Governors and as a Charter member of the National Adjudicatory Council. Richard J. DeAgazio was the President of Boston Capital Securities, Inc., a NASD registered broker dealer, an affiliate of Boston Capital Corp.  Recently retired, his tenure was from 1981-2007.   In this capacity, he has been responsible for the sales and marketing of Boston Capital’s public fund investments.  Working with nearly 500 investment firms nationwide, Boston Capital Securities annually raised over $750 million for its housing investment funds though insurance companies, financial planners and investment firms. Mr. DeAgazio joined the founding team of Boston Capital in 1981 and served as Executive Vice President and a member of the Executive Committee.  Boston Capital is a diversified, real estate and investment banking firm, serving clients nationwide and internationally.  Through its various investment funds, Boston Capital owns over $12.0 billion in real estate assets.  Boston Capital’s operating companies include an equity investment firm, an institutional advisory firm, and a National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD) licensed broker-dealer.  Boston Capital is the fourth largest owner of apartment complexes in the United States and the tenth largest owner of real estate overall. As a sought after speaker, Mr. DeAgazio has addressed major investment conferences, both nationally and internationally.  In addition, he is widely quoted in the press such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Business Week and other various financial newspapers and magazines.  He has often appeared on national television and radio, including NBC, CNN, CNBC and CNNFn.
